Mary Queen of Angels

This glorious icon is Sister’s own design. It shows Mary and Jesus enthroned, surrounded by angels, rich gold and crowned with a jeweled crown.  The powerful message is that all this opulence is contrasted with the simple message on the scroll that Jesus holds.  It says “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. He hast anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor."
