Acolytes
Our Acolytes are comprised our parish’s children and youth and play an important role assisting with the liturgy on Sundays. Altar Guild The Altar Guild team works diligently to prepare the altar and set our table all worship services. Greeters / Ushers Our team of greeters / ushers play an important role before the Sunday services and are often the first impression of Saint Mary’s for visitors. They also facilitate the smooth execution of the worship service and assist during the Holy Eucharist. Lay Eucharistic Ministers Saint Mary’s is blessed with a dedicated team of of Lay Eucharistic Ministers to assist with the Holy Eucharist and take Sunday Communion to parishioners unable to attend the service. Lectors/Intercessors Lectors and Intercessors play an important role during our worship services delivering readings and intercessions to the congregation. Music Music is an essential component of our worship and is expressed through our vibrant choir at the direction of a dedicated choir master and organist. At the completion of the new church in 2002, the organ was relocated from the old sanctuary. The Rodgers Model 950 is a digital instrument that simulates the sound of a mid-sized pipe organ while providing the flexibility and versatility of an electronic instrument. Choir An all adult mixed-voice choir practices weekly so to share on Sundays a variety of sacred music, from traditional Anglican anthems to more contemporary selections. Brass musicians are added on special occasions to enhance our musical experience. |
